Providing Dignity Through Clothing Assistance

Community Clothing Center

At New Journey Community Outreach, we see clothing as more than just fabric — it represents dignity, warmth, and confidence. Our Clothing Center in Reading, PA, offers free clothing to low-income families, individuals facing hard times, and those experiencing homelessness in our community. By providing clean, gently used clothing for all ages and sizes, we help our neighbors look and feel their best while easing the financial pressure of everyday life.

Restoring Dignity and Self-Confidence

We believe everyone should feel respected and valued while seeking assistance. Our volunteers create a welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere where visitors can browse clothing options as they would in any store, selecting what they need.

Whether someone needs a warm coat for winter, professional attire for a job interview, or everyday necessities for their children, our Clothing Center is ready to lend a hand.

The Clothing Center is open weekly and follows a first-come, first-served basis. There’s no cost for clothing. All items in the clothing center are donated by generous individuals, local businesses, and community partners.

A Range of Choices

Clothing for All Ages and Seasons

A warm coat can mean the world during the winter months. A clean shirt and slacks can help someone make a solid first impression in a job interview. New clothes for a child can boost their confidence at school. Our Clothing Center changes lives by not just meeting physical needs, but also by restoring pride, dignity, and hope.

  • Winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves to help everyone stay warm
  • Lightweight clothing for summertime, including t-shirts, shorts, and sandals
  • Professional outfits for job interviews or work, like dress shirts, pants, and shoes
  • Casual, everyday wear for comfort and practicality
  • Baby and toddler clothing for growing families

Our inventory changes frequently based on what we receive as donations, but we always aim to offer balanced and nutritious choices for everyone who visits.
