Your Support Makes a Difference
One way that you can help us further is by becoming a volunteer! You can volunteer as an individual or as a group (business, church, organization, etc.) in several ways. Below are our current volunteer opportunities in each of our 4 main areas.
Join Our Pantry Team
Food Pantry Volunteers
We are currently seeking bilingual (Spanish and English) individuals to assist our guests during their pantry appointments, as well as individuals to help unload the Helping Harvest Truck every Monday at 1 pm.
Additionally, we welcome 1–2 general volunteers to support daily operations and assist our Food Program Coordinator with tasks as needed. Our food pantry now operates by pre-arranged appointments, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 12 pm, instead of mass distribution on Wednesdays.

Lunch Distribution
Prepared Dish Donations
We serve over 300 lunches a day, which means we need local groups to organize, prepare, and deliver hot food that can be distributed during our lunch hour. Soup, pasta… use your imagination—we’ll help you decide. If you are interested in donating meals, please email us at jlaylon@njcoinc.org or call us at 610-375-2662.
Lunch Preparation Assistance
Help make to-go lunches for our lunch program, which runs Monday through Friday from 11:30 to 12:30. You can even work off-site to prepare bag lunches or sandwiches—it’s a great team-building activity. When local groups aren’t providing lunch, our volunteers step in to make sandwiches and bag lunches here at NJCO.
Serving with Compassion
Clothing Center Volunteers
Arrange a time to come and sort and hang clothing to prepare for our weekly clothing center. This opportunity can accommodate large groups of 15–20, a small group, or an individual. Call our clothing coordinator at 610-375-2662.
