Fighting Poverty, Feeding Hope Breakfast Event

50 years ago, a group of compassionate individuals saw their neighbors struggling to meet their basic needs. Their response was the creation of a small food pantry and clothing center, hosted at the “Yellow Church” at 138 6th Street. As the needs grew, they continued to serve and , 10 years ago , that small community pantry grew into the non-profit known as New Journey Community Outreach ( NJCO).

This year we celebrate “40 + 10”, honoring the 40 year legacy of those grassroots efforts and the service of New Journey over the last 10 years.

Join us on November 21st as we honor our roots and look ahead in our continued effort to restore hope, comfort and dignity to our neighbors facing great insecurity.
